Lamia Abdelfattah [17] is an urbanist and researcher specialized in urban conflict and social inequality in cities. After spending three years working on alternative urbanism solutions in informal settlements in Cairo, she came to Italy and completed her Masters in Urban Planning and Policy Design at the Politecnico Di Milano University.
(ab)Normal [14] Luigi Savio, Mattia Inselvini, Marcello Carpino and Davide Masserini met in OMA office, and started to illustrate (ab)Normal. Luigi and Mattia are among the founder of GruppoTorto, a research collective that deals with architecture through texts and experimental projects, Marcello who now is working with Herzog & Meuron in Basel, joined GruppoTorto in 2017 and founded (ab)normal along with them. Davide Masserini founded USO in 2017.
Clet Abraham [3] is a French artist based in Florence. Since 2010 his works are almost all about road signs. His stickers can be found on the streets of Milan, Turin, Rome, Berlin, Paris, London, Valencia, etc… He sticks them on the signs at night, going around with his “Bici-Clet” when the city sleeps. Known for his surrealist drawings and his provocative sculptures, two years ago he started to work as a street artist and he became famous right away in several countries of Europe.
Martin Adolfsson [5] is a Swedish born photographer based in NYC. He started his photographic career as an assistant in Oslo -00. He attended an Artist in Residence program at SVA in 07-08 and has been based in NYC ever since. His personal work focus on social structures and behaviors.
Sophie Agisheva [14] [15] [16] [17] is an architect, researcher and lecturer based in Russia. She has curated international exhibitions and workshops in Russia, Italy and the UK, and worked on research projects and publications on cultural heritage preservation & urban development dealing with time/space perception, architectural manifestos, theoretical papers, utopias and practice.
Shaimaa Mahmoud Al-Alawy [7] is currently working as an architect, interested in untangling the patterns architecture and urbanisms create in the grey areas where they intersect with fields like biomimcry, human rights and historical packages and behavior around architecture and the city, and in digital fabrication and humorous design.
Michele Albanelli [12] born in Rome, 1983 did his BA at University La Sapienza of Rome, and his MA at Staedelschule Architecture Class of Frankfurt am Main. He is the director of Estudio Albanelli Omonte based in Lima – Peru – devoted to research through design and particularly interested in the social value of architecture.
Santiago Albarracin [12] is a B.Architect from UNLP and partner of SSN architects. He’s been an assistant professor and lecturer in Critic Analysis of Modern and Postmodern Architecture Workshop, in the University of Buenos Aires. The last two year he has participated in international congresses related to digital technologies.
Zaheer Allam [5] is an independent scholar with a background in Green Architecture & Project Management. He currently resides in Australia and his field of interest lies in ecological & utilitarian urbanism.
Zarrin Allam [5] is a medical practitioner living in Perth. Her passion expands to literary works and exploring avenues for environmental & cultural conservation and regeneration.
Nacho Ruiz Allen [11], Ph.D. architect, is the co-founder of ZON-E, practice with bases in Madrid and Asturias, partner of BAULAB, devoted to small- scale improvements, and a member of KASTEL’14, whose deal is to refresh architectural consciousness through artistic devices. He currently holds the position of Research Assistant at Arkitektskolen Aarhus, Denmark.
Fahad Ahmed Al-Obaidly [4] is Oral Historian and Curator of Intangible Heritage for the Qatar Unified Imaging Project (QUIP), VCUQatar.
Alterazioni Video [14] is a collective of five artists founded in Milan in 2004 with bases in New York, Berlin and Milan.
Eleonora Alviti [18] is an Italian architect who lives and works in Lisbon. Her research focuses mainly on the regeneration of places and the rediscovery of their identity, experimenting with new developments for the contemporary city.
Vassilis Alymaras [11] [14] is an architect in the globe, founder of the architectural office “The Field of the Ruins” (GbR 1993, together with Dimitra Figa). Currently he is living and working in Athens and Istanbul.
Ana Amado [10] is an architect, photographer and visual artist. Her work has been awarded internationally and exhibited, among others, in London, Madrid, Barcelona and Plasencia.
Rober Amado [10] is a sociologist, photojournalist and free-lance researcher. He wrote “Asbestos Pilgrims”.
Dev Ambardekar [7] is a recently graduated architect based in Bangalore, India. Over the last few years, he has drawn closer to architecture that is socially responsive and “for the people” and works towards moving away from stereotypical commercial architecture.
Serafina Amoroso [3] [5] is an architect. After graduating in Florence in 2001, she got the PhD in Architecture and Urban design in Reggio Calabria in 2006. Her professional activity has been always accompanied by research commitment, teaching experiences and participations to national and international workshops and competitions. Currently lives and works between Florence and Madrid.
Jonathan Andrew [6] is a British born photographer who has been working and living in Amsterdam for over 20 years. He balances commercial and architectural assignments with the quiet solitude of landscape photography. The WW2 bunker series is a personal project that he’s worked on for the past 4 years. The series has won several accolades, most recently winning Gold in the International Photography Awards.
Ana Aragão [12] is an architect graduated from the Faculty of Architecture of University of Porto FAUP (2009). After an incursion in the academic environment as a PhD scholarship holder from the University of Coimbra (2011-2014), she decides to interrupt her scientific research to devote herself professionally to drawing.
Julia Ardabyevskaya [13] is an architect, teaching at the educational studio at the Moscow Architectural Institute (together with Yury Grigoryan) and a co-founder of architectural office Streli Molnii.
Enrique Rojo Asin [12] continues his career as PhD candidate at the ETSA University of Navarra with his thesis There and back of Modern Ideals: European References in Japanese Architecture 1923-39. To develop the project, he has undertaken a research stay at gta ETH Zurich under the supervision of Prof. Vittorio Magnano Lampugnani.

Ramiro Aznar [1] is an environmental professional, BSc in Biology (Universidad Complutense de Madrid) and MSc in Urban Sustainability (Unversity of Reading). He is a specialist in GIS, with more than four years of experiences making maps, and currently working as an urban planning technician at Aznar Grasa – Arquitecto in Saragossa.

B.A.N.A.N.A. Think Tank [11] [15] is a collaborative platform based in Turin, Italy. Founded in 2016, it is active in the fields of architecture, urban design and architectural theory. The group’s work has been exhibited at the XV Mostra Internazionale di Architettura di Venezia.
Federico Babin [6] a is an Italian architect and graphic designer. He lives and works in Barcelona. Every day he tries to rediscover a way to observe the world through the eyes of a child. Drawing and illustration are for him a way to recount and photograph thoughts, feelings and emotions. Every picture has a story and every picture is a witness of a story.
Joan Bacardí [12] is a publicist and writer with a degree in Contemporary History from Autonomous University of Barcelona and in Publicity and Public Relations from the Open University of Catalonia. He has worked as a music journalist in publications such as Trax, Deejay or Beat and is currently directing his own advertising agency PolloMeansChicken.
Luís Santiago Baptista [3] is an architect with a multifaceted activity encompassing design, teaching, criticism, curatorship and publishing. He is invited assistant professor in ECATI-ULHT and researcher in LabART. He is editor-in-chief of arqa magazine. He co-curatored Habitar Portugal 2006-2008 (Ordem dos Arquitectos), “«Let’s talk about houses»… in Portugal” (Lisbon Architecture Triennale 2010) and geração z: portuguese emerging architectural pratices.
Ethel Baraona Pohl [2]. Architect [although she prefers to call herself: Professional Amateur]. Her work is a real hub linking several publications and actors on architecture and theory. Contributing editor for different blogs and magazines such as Domus, Quaderns, and MAS Context, among others. She is co-founder of the independent publishing house dpr-barcelona.
Aleksandra Belitskaja [17] is an architectural designer and XR developer whose work centers on novel interactive design models and the interplay of new emergent aesthetics. Her projects focus on utilizing computer graphics and game engine technology to explore new forms of connectivity between audience, architect and community. In 2016 she co-founded, the experimental design collective, iheartblob.
Marco Belloni [6], born in 1991 in Treviglio, Lombardy. Based in Milan. He works in the fields of Architecture and Art.
Fabrizia Berlingieri [4] graduated in 2003 in Architecture at the University of Reggio Calabria where she got in 2007 a PhD in Architecture and Urban Design. She runs her own office “Berlingieri Architetti” in Cosenza and currently develops a Post doc research on Emerging urban forms in european geography.
BIG – Bjarke Ingels Group [3] is a leading international partnership of architects, designers, builders and thinkers operating within the fields of architecture, urbanism, research and development. BIG’s architecture emerges out of a careful analysis of how contemporary life constantly evolves and changes. BIG is led by partners with offices in Copenhagen and New York. Ashley Bigham [10] is the 2015-16 Walter B. Sanders Fellow at the University of Michigan Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning. She is co-director of Outpost Office and holds a Master of Architecture from Yale University and a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Tennessee.
FranÇois Blanciak [15] is a French architect and Senior Lecturer at the University of Sydney. His work has been published in Architectural Research Quarterly, Volume and New Geographies, and is held in the permanent collection of MoMA. He is the author of SITELESS: 1001 Building Forms (MIT Press, 2008).
Boa Mistura [3] is an urban art group formed at the end of 2001 in Madrid, Spain. The term “Boa Mistura”, from the portuguese for “good mixture”, refers to the diversity of perspectives of each member. Distinct visions which complement each other, and combine to create something unique and coherent. The collective is composed by the Architect Javier Serrano “Pahg”, the Civil Engineer Rubén Martín “rDick”, Pablo Purón “Purone”, graduated in Advertising and Public Relations, and two Fine Art graduated: Pablo Ferreiro “Arkoh” and Juan Jaume “Derko”.
Camillo Boano [6] is an architect, urbanist and educator. He is Senior Lecturer at The Bartlett DPU, UCL, where he directs the MSc in Building and Urban Design in Development. He has over 18 years of experiences in research, consultancies and development work in South America, Middle East, Eastern Europe and South East Asia.
René Boer [7] works as an independent urban and architectural researcher in Amsterdam and is affiliated with FailedArchitecture and various urban social movements. Associated with urban research collectives in among others Barcelona (Citymined) and Ramallah/Jerusalem (ICAHD), he holds a master degree in Urban Studies from University College London’s UrbanLab.
Vasiliki Bogri [9] is an architect with an interest in sculpture and new media. She holds a Master’s Degree in Architecture Engineering from the Department of Architecture, University of Thessaly in Greece. She currently works and resides in Athens.
Boijeot.Renauld.Turon [8] is an artist trio. Laurent Boijeot, sociologist and ex vandal ; Sébastien Renauld, Architect and artist, former jugglist ; Nicolas Turon, director and actor. They joined forces in 2011, to activate the city.Most of their actions are based on the interactions with inhabitants and the city surrounding them. Since 2011, they created 60 actions.
Liu Bolin [8] born in 1973 in the northern province of Shandong,trained at the prestigious Central Academy of Fine Arts, a student of the renowned artist Sui Jianguo, who mentored him at the beginning of his career. Liu belongs to the generation that came of age in the early 1990s, when China emerged from the rubble of the Cultural Revolution and was beginning to enjoy rapid economic growth and relative political stability.
Caterina Maria Carla Bona [6], born in 1987 in Vigevano, is an architect based in Milan. Graduated in Building Engineering and Architecture at University of Pavia in 2012, she’s collaborating with an architectural studio in Milan and as Assistant at Politecnico di Milano. As a freelance she’s carrying on her interests in architectural photography and writing essays.
Angel Borrego Cubero [4] holds a PhD in Architecture (UPM-ETSA Madrid) and a MArch (Princeton). He has taught at Princeton, Pratt, ETSAM. He has been developing an interdisciplinary body of works that deals with issues such as the contemporary urban condition, the negotiations between private and public space.
Scott Budzynski [3] completed his Ph.D. in art history at the State University of New York at Stony Brook in 2005 and his been living in Berlin since 2005. He has been researching the themes of memory and modernity in post-World War II urban spaces, particularly in relation to Milan. He has been a lecturer at the Justus Liebig University in Giessen, and is beginning a professorship in art history at SCAD Savannah in September 2012.

Romolo Roberto Calabrese [1][2][4][5][6][7] graduated at Politecnico of Milan in 1998. From 1997 to 1999 he was assistant professor of Architectural Design at Politecnico of Milan. During his studies, he made his apprenticeship at Aldo Rossi Studio in Milan and Munchen. In 2000 he founded RRC STUDIO Architects in Milan. In 2008 he created a platform that promotes a cultural debate within the office. From that experience, in 2012, he launched STUDIO Architecture and Urbanism magazine, expanding the borders of the debate on the theme of architecture and comtemporary city.
Fabio Calabretta [14] is a junior architect graduatd at Politecnico di Milano. After a three-year degree, his career is moving, through the use of architecture, photography, video, towards an accurate analysis of society and the changes that take place in it. A good amount of sendability sharpens the sight better.
David Calas [10] is an architect, founder of STUDIO CALAS and senior lecturer at the TU Vienna. He operates between the blurring boundaries of urban planning, architecture, art and politics, concerning the urban co-creation and digitalisation of cities.
Aleesha Callahan[5] is an Australian born interior architect and design writer. Currently based in Berlin she is immersed in researching and editing architectural content online for Architectuul.com.
Elena Calvano [16] is 24 years old. She iscurrently attending the second year of Master Degree in Architecture-Built Environment-Interiors at Politecnico di Milano. She works as a graphic designer.
Alberto Campo Baeza [2] was born in Valladolid. He lived his early years in Cadiz where he saw the light. From his father he inherited a spirit of analysis and from his mother the determination to be an architect. Alejandro de la Sota, his first professor in Madrid, instilled in him the essential architecture. Tenured professor at ETSAM, he has also taught at the Bauhaus in Weimar. Winner of several awards, his works have been widely recognised and exhibited in the Crown Hall by Mies and at the Palladio Basilica, among others. Author of “La Idea Construida” and “Pensar con las Manos”, his latest book “Principa Architectonica” has just been released in 2011. He believes in Architecture as a built idea; that the principle components of Architecture are gravity that constructs space and light that constructs time.
Jorge Cárdenas del Moral [16] is a Mexican architect who lives in Madrid since 2007. His practice explores concepts such as criticism, utopia, memory, counterculture and modernity. He is the author of a book called Monumental (2018), a critical analysis on the concepts of monumentality and modernism.
André Carmo [9] is an invited assistant at IGOT and researcher at CEG-UL. Between 2014 and 2015 he coordinated the DELI Platform in Lisbon, and currently he is coordinator of the Portuguese Intercultural Cities Network. Founding member of HABITA. His research interests include issues of urban segregation, social and spatial (in)justice, urban social movements and the right to the city, political art and cultural activism.
Francesco Carrasso [17] is a Landscape architect based in Amsterdam. His work is researching the opportunity to re-establish a daily connection with wildlife. Born and raised in the hills of south Italy his connection with mother nature never abandoned him. From his roots, he is trying to recreate an experience of nature built on the interaction with other species.
James Carrico [9] is a Boston based architectural designer. His work focuses on the effects of the intensification of Modernity in architecture. He has recently joined “The Warp Drive”, a New York City based think tank specializing in analyzing the role of architectural history on contemporary cultural production.
Christian Casildo [13] is an independent urban consultant. He has a bachelor degree in Political Sciences and Public Administration, and a master’s degree in Political and Social Studies, both obtained from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM).
Elisa Cristiana Cattaneo [5], adjunct Professor at Politecnico di Milano. In 2004 she attended at the European Master in Strategic Planning for the architectonic, urban and environmental resources; in 2009 she discussed with Merit the PhD thesis; in 2010 was Visiting Scholar-Post Doc at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and in 2011- 2012 at Graduate School of Design, Harvard University. Since 2002 she is principal in her professional studio.
Cristiana Cellucci [8] architect and Ph.D. in Building Technology and Environment. As Postdoc. She works in the Department of Architecture, University G. d’Annunzio,Chieti-Pescara, where she is collaborating both in research and in teaching activities in the field of Built Environment Technologies and Healthy Architectures.
Vicky Chan [13] founded Avoid Obvious Architects in 2012 with offices in New York and Hong Kong. His firm has been pushing sustainable buildings and cities with focus on combining art with green technology. His firm recently presented a city design for 40,000 residents to the city hall of Abbosford, Canada.

Ciclostile Architettura [1] was born from the collaboration of three founding members: Giacomo Beccari, Gaia Calamosca and Alessandro Miti, all licensed architects at the Faculty of Architecture of Ferrara. They made professional and research experiences both in Italy and abroad, in internationally known architectural offices. In 2009 they created Ciclostile to translate their ideas into actions.
Alessandro Colombo [8] correspondent from Lisbon for STUDIO© he is urban and territorial planning, with post-graduate course in sustainable local development. Since 2012, he participates in action-research projects, focused on local development. He is actually phd candidate in “Public Policies” at ISCTE, Lisbon.
Stefano Corbo [3] is an architect and an assistant professor at the Faculty of Architecture in Alghero; he received a Master in Advanced Architectural Design at ETSAM, Madrid, and is currently a PhD student at the same Institute. He worked as a designer at Mecanoo Architects and in 2012 founded his own office.
Giacomo Costa [1] is an artist born Florence. In his polyhedral life he has played violin, motorcycle raced, walked across European mountains before starting his research on cityscape and new technologies applied to photography. He currently lives and works in Florence where he is also part of an ambulance rescue squad and, in winter months, part of a mountain rescue team.
Giovanni Matteo Cudin [8], urban planner, born in Padua, 2008-2012 designer studio Muratori & Zanon (Pd), 2011-2014 studio arch. Bellini (Pd). In 2010 competition winner P.zza Gasparotto (Pd). Since 2014 research and assistance to teaching at Iuav (Ve) with teacher Sara Marini.
Adriana Cuellar and Marcel Sanchez [7] are partners of the architecture and research firm CRO studio. Adriana Cuellar is an adjunct professor at The University of San Diego and The NewSchool of Architecture and Design and Marcel Sanchez is an associate professor at Woodbury University in San Diego.
Isabelle Marie Cyr [4] [5] [12] is a Canadian architect. She has lived and worked in Canada, India, Senegal, Congo, Liberia, China and Brazil, managing projects on urban development, housing and slum upgrading issues, with the World Bank, the United Nations and NGOs. She also lectured in two Beijing universities about “Architecture for a Difference”.

Paolo Damato [6] was born in Foggia on March 19th, 1992. He’s studying Building Engineering – Architecture at the Polytechnic University of Bari. He deals with green building and especially Mediterranean building. Particularly sensitive to issues of urban regeneration and social reactivation, he is ready to respond to the challenges of architecture in the age of crisis.
David Garcia Studio [1] is an experimental platform, which tests new methods and processes at all scales in all types of extreme environments.

Jose Dávila [3] is an artist based in Guadalajara, Mexico. His sculptures, photographs and installations, are fueled by his interest in the relation between place and fiction, space and temporality under architecture as a concurrent theme. Exhibited in several institutions and in several cities like New York, Berlin, Madrid, London, his work has been featured in international publications. He received the support of the Andy Warhol Foundation, Kunstwerke residency in Berlin and the National Grant for young artists by the Mexican Arts Council.
Alex De Bruycker [9] born in Ghent, Belgium 1968 is a self-taught photographer. He lives and works in Maarkedal, Belgium.
He has a heterogene approach to his environment. Wandering around with his camera he is in a constant dialogue with the here and now. His work is not defined by genre, theme or method.
Lorenzo Degli Esposti [16] is principal of Degli Esposti Architetti; director of AUFO; curator of the Architecture Pavilion in the Grattacielo Pirelli during the EXPO 2015; author of books and essays on modern architecture, art, drawing.
Francesca Romana Dell’Aglio [14] is an architect, a writer and an educator, who graduated from the Istituto Universitario di Architettura di Venezia (IUAV) and holds a Masters Degree from the Architectural Association in London, where she now teaches Architectural History. Her PhD research focuses on the relationship between rituals and architectural forms.
Antonia Di Lauro [7] performs research on the topic of information and communication technologies applied to the landscape. She is Communications Manager for the Research Unit PRIN (2013/2016) Re_Cycle Italy of Mediterranean University of Reggio Calabria, where she works in teaching courses in Landscape Architecture.
Patrizia Di Monte [4] architect by IUAV Venice, master in Large Scale architecture and PHD on New Architectural Tools, Urbanism ass. professor at the ETSA-USJ and Ignacio Grávalos, architect by ETSA Barcelona, Architectural Graphic Expression profesor at the ETSAZ-USJ, founded gravalosdimonte architects in 1998, in the city of Zaragoza. They won several competitions, and are invited professor in many Universities and Masters. Their works are published in several Architectural and cultural rewies.
Domenico Di Siena [1] is an architect and urbanist specialized in Network Thinking. Consultant at Inter-American Development Bank for the ConectaDEL program. His professional activity is oriented to the study of new designing models and management of public spaces, with a particular attention to emergent dynamics in the field of new technologies (Sentient City).
Alba Balmaseda Domínguez and Esaú Acosta Pérez [9] are both architects from Madrid. Interested in all that is related to informal city processes & developments, design and urban studies. Being architects in resident at Tokyo Wonder Site in 2013 they developed this research about the new tendences of the big metrópolis.

Matthew Earle [10] is an urban strategist and urban reporter. He studied architecture in Triest, Barcelona and Vienna where he started participatory processes for urban regeneration and realized 1:1 projects. He is also senior reporter for Nuok.
Onur Ekmekci [4], born in Istanbul, is an architect and urban designer. He studied architecture at the City University of New York and worked at architectural offices in New York City. He has also attended academic programs in Bauhaus Dessau, Berlage Institute, and obtained a master degree in Sustainable Urban Planning and Design from KTH-the Royal Institute of Technology (Sweden). Currently, he is an urban design researcher at City Form Lab at MIT/SUTD in Singapore.
Eme3 [2] brings together the new creators of emergent architectures in a space of experimentation, exposition and debate. It generates projects that materialize in different formats and locations, through a continuous program, eme3_on, and an annual encounter, eme3_festival. Like a think-tank, it operates as a platform for expression and presentation of ideas, away from dogmas and conventionalisms.
Nicola Emery [3], philosopher, graduated and gained a PhD in Venice and Rome. Professor at the Accademy of Architecture of Mendrisio. Author, among other works, of: “L’architettura difficile. Filosofia del costruire” (Milano 2007), “Progettare, costruire, curare. Per una deontologia dell’architettura” (Bellinzona 2008), “Distruzione e progetto. L’architettura promessa” (Milano 2011). He also teaches at the Scuola di Governo del Territorio of the SUM Università di Firenze, is a member of the PhD Board in Architecture at the Milan Polytechnic. In 2011 he was invited to present his project for the installation of the Swiss Pavilion at the 2012 Venice Biennale.

FABRIC [6] is a creative environment that produces spatial solutions. It came into existence at the start of 2007 in Amsterdam, when Olv Kijn and Eric Frijters merged their respective one-man office. Their involvement in architecture, urbanism and research results in FABRICations, which appear in a large variety of media ranging from actual buildings to visual representations and written texts.
Fabulism [14], founded in 2016 by Giulia Pozzi and Mirko Andolina, is an experimental design practice based in Berlin that operates at the intersection of architecture, landscape, and urbanism. We respond and adapt to climate change, demographic and economic changes. We research new applications for technologies, infrastructures and ecologies in order to transform the experiences of citizens.
Júlia Ribes Fagundes [4] is geographer, MSc in Urban & Regional Planning, and works on the development of urban master plans. They live in Porto Alegre, South of Brazil.
Fake Industries Architectural Agonism [3] is an architectural office of diffuse boundaries and questionable taste that explores the power of Replicas, as Copies and Agonistic Responses to previous statements, for the advancement of the field. Cristina Goberna and Urtzi Grau, its orchestrators, are faculty at GSAPP Columbia Univ, Cooper Union and SOA Princeton Univ.

Alexandre Farto (aka Vhils) [7], portuguese artist (1987), has been interacting visually with the urban environment since his days as a prolific graffiti writer in the early 2000s. His groundbreaking carving technique, which forms the basis of the Scratching the Surface series, has been hailed as one of the most compelling approaches to art created in the street in the last decade.

Tanja Houwerzijl [12] from Amsterdam, The Netherlands,moved to Tokyo in 2004 and has been in Asia ever since. Since her arrival in Japan, she interested herself in photography, training at a number of institutions including the International Center of Photography in New York.
Hannes Hulstaert [15] [16], has progressively expanded his creative and theoretical boundaries as an artist. Active in London as a maker and videographer, he continuously examines his surroundings and the subconscious ethology. His works and theoretical writings have earned him the Henry van de Velde Prize and the Vitra Academic Architecture Awards among other publications for his unconventional approach towards architecture.

Farsad Labbauf [10] is an Iranian artist living and working in the New York area. The origins of Labbauf’s work lie in Figurative Expressionism, leading to the creation of his linear figurative painting style. His paintings have been featured in more than sixty group shows across the globe and in numerous public and private collections.
Léopold Lambert [1] [3] is a French architect currently working in New York. Franco Martín López [6] is an advanced architecture student at the Universidad Abierta Latinoamericana (Rosario, Argentina). Rafael Luna [15] [17] is an assistant professor at Hanyang University and co-founder of the architecture firm PRAUD. He received a Master of Architecture from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. V. Mitch McEwen [7], as Partner at A(n) Office and Principal of McEwen Studio, works in architectural and urban design. Giuseppe Resta [6] [8], Architect at (dp)a studio in Bari, Italy. Completed the Master of Architecture at Politecnico di Bari working on contemporary mixed use buildings and their figurative quality into the city. Angelo Renna [16] is an architect based in Amsterdam. He has grown a particular interest in preserving and implementing natural elements in architecture. He studied Architecture in Florence and Port and he collaborated with different offices such as Stefano Boeri Architetti in Milan and Topotek1 in Berlin.
Giulia Ricci [13] studied at Università IUAV, PoliMi, KU Leuven. Her master thesis “Zingonia: Utopia e/o speculazione” was supervised by Prof. Marco Biraghi. She collaborated with the curators of the exhibition Z! Zingonia Mon Amour at the Venice Biennale 2014. Co-curator of the book “Dante Bini: Mechatronics” (Postmedia, 2016) and member of Gizmo since 2013.
Rietveld Landscape [1] was founded by landscape architect Ronald Rietveld after he won the Prix de Rome Architecture 2006. From its start economist and philosopher Erik Rietveld (Harvard University) has been part of the studio’s core team. The office was curator of the Dutch pavilion for the 12th Venice Architecture
Biennale.
Michele Rinaldi [17] is a Berlin based Italian architect. He believes that architecture is a multidisciplinary dialogue in which the imaginative powers of photography and visual arts play an important role in the act of transforming and defining spaces. He likes to portray unspectacular walls and neglected facades.
Pier Alessio Rizzardi [6] [7] [9] is a freelance architect. In 2011 in Shanghai, with the Chinese architect Zhang Hankun, he founded TCA Think Tank, an international research group.
Conor Rochford [6] [8] is an architectural designer and writer from Dublin, Ireland. Graduating from University College Dublin and the Arkitektskolen Aarhus, Denmark, he has worked with UCD, the Royal Irish Academy as well as the Architectural Association of Ireland on several publications. Recently he has been working as a designer in New York City.
Carmelo Rodríguez Cedillo [15] is a doctor architect by ETSAM, director of Arqueología del Futuro and Co-founder of PKMN Architectures and Enorme Studio.
Andrea Ronzino [14], MSc.Arch.(h), architect and PhD candidate in Architecture. History and Design at the Politecnico di Torino. Since 2014, he has been a Teaching Assistant in History of Architecture and Architectural Design collaborating in various courses between Turin and Milan, in Italy, and also abroad.
RRC STUDIO Architects [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] [8] [18] is active in many fields of architecture in its various scales, working in national and international projects. Intervention areas concern masterplans, public spaces, public buildings and housing. Stefano Sabatino [11] graduated in 2010 in Architecture at Polytechnic of Milan where he got a PhD in Architecture and Urban Design in 2014. In his professional experience he has collaborated in several Milan-based offices and in international firms including Mecanoo (Delft, NL) and Adept (Copenhagen, DK). Since 2011 he is teaching assistant in an Architectural Design Studio at Polytechnic of Milan.
Davide Sacconi [17] is architect, teacher and curator. He is Director of the Syracuse Architecture London Program, Visiting Lecturer at the Royal College of Art and founder of CAMPO.
Claudia Saglimbeni [10] is a Milan-based architect operating in the field of curatorship and consulting, achieved Master degree in Sustainable Architecture for multi-sacale projects at Politecnico di Milano. Founder and curator of the Migrant Garden project in 2013, collaborated with AtelierForte, Viapiranesi and currently works in Luca Molinari Architecture Consulting & Curatorship.
Tuğçe Şahin [17] is an architect based in Lecco and Milano. After graduation from architecture, she completed my Master’s studies with the thesis entitled ‘Micro Independence Spaces in Urban Scape’. Besides architectural practices she goes on to think about and study urban commons and alternative ways of creating publicness.
Irgen Salianji [11] is an architect and a researcher on issues regarding politics, contemporary culture and urbanity. He is the co-founder of “Architects for Urbanity”, a Rotterdam-based architecture office honoured in several international architecture competitions such as the New Bauhaus Museum in Dessau (shortlisted project) and the new Varna Regional Library (1st prize).
Sophia Salma and Roohia Salma [11] are recent graduates from the southern Indian city of Chennai. They are both very interested in urban issues and spatial practices in developing contexts. They have graduated from the School of Architecture and Planning in Anna University, Chennai and in this period they have also studied at the Architectural Association, London and at D-ARCH, ETH Zurich.
Tomás Saraceno [12] is an Argentinean artist. His work could be seen as an ongoing research, informed by the worlds of art, architecture, natural sciences, astrophysics and engineering; his floating sculptures, community projects and interactive installations propose and explore new, sustainable ways of inhabiting and sensing the environment.
Shivani Satpathy [5] is an architect currently working with Ingenieur Consulting Langenhagen CCPL, Pune, India. She has worked on various projects after completing graduation in Architecture at the College of Engineering and Technology, Bhubaneswar, graduating in 2010. She is also pursuing online courses on topics “A Global History of Architecture” and “Age of Globalization” respectively.
Sandra Saviotto [7] is an architect, born in Avola (Siracusa) in 1981; she graduated in 2007 and has been a Ph.D in “Architectural Project and Urban Analysis” since 2012. She studies the suburbs, the empty urban spaces and the areas which have been neglected as a marginal social and urban condition, especially the landscapes of the Mediterranean.

Cristina Sciarrone [7], phd student in Landscape and Environment at La Sapienza University of Rome, works about edge-scapes and re-activation strategies for abandoned spaces. She participates to research works about periurban agriculture, open spaces recycle and sustainability and landscape perception as instrument of project.

Giulia Scotto [11] is an Architect and Urban Planner. She graduated in Architecture at the IUAV University, Venice. She’s based in Zurich and she collaborated with OMA, KCAParchitects &planners and the UTT chair of urban design at the ETH Zurich.
Luisa Selo [9] [10] is a graduate architect working in Milan. Her graduation thesis is a research about Australian public spaces, since she has been fascinated by the red country after her one-year exchange experience. She is also the communication manager for the online magazine ‘3NTA: learning from students’.
Juan Antonio Serrano García and Paloma Baquero Masats [4] are architects (ETSAG. 2009) and PhD in Advanced Architectural Design (ETSAM. 2012). They have developed several projects as Serrano+Baquero, such as Rurban Geology and NewWaterGarden, both winning projects in the Europan XI contest in Lanzarote and Leeuwarden, and Horizontal Showcase, selected for the last edition of Arquia Proxima prizes and for the Iberoamerican Biennale of Design.
Beniamino Servino [1] [10] is an architect. His works are published in the most important national and international architectural magazines. He is often invited to exhibitions both in Italy and abroad (including the 2002 Venice Biennale, and exhibitions on Italian architecture in New York and Beijing). In 2002 and 2004, he was nominated for the Mies van der Rohe Award. In 2007 he received the International Award Architecture in Stone.
Tanzil Shafique [9] [12] is an architect and urbanist working + teaching at the University of Arkansas Community Design Center at the Fay Jones School of Architecture + Design in the United States. He holds an M.Arch in Architecture and Urbanism from Rennselaer Polytechnic Institute in New York.

Aleksandra Shulevska [18] is an architect from Skopje, North Macedonia, living and working in Berlin, Germany. She has a Master in Architecture from the Dessau Institute of Architecture.
Luca Silenzi [5] is the director of Spacelab Architects, often in partnership with world-class design offices (ARUP and CEBRA among others). Contributor in Domus #956/2012 with an extended paper on “archi-memes”, debunking the myth of architects’ absolute creativity, is also featured in CLOG – RENDERING (oct 2012) with a paper entitled “Real VS Plausible”.
Francisco Silva [16] is an architect from Porto, Portugal. There, he developed his master’s thesis on the evolution of housing. After his studies, he has worked in Jean Nouvel, collaborating in projects like the National Museum of Qatar or the Qingdao Artist Garden. Currently, he works in Sou Fujimoto Atelier Paris.
Luca Simoncini [16] born in La Spezia (Italy) in 1994. In 2017 earned her bachelor degree in Progettazione Architettonica from the Architettura Civile school at the Politecnico di Milano. He’s attending her master degree in Architettura, ambiente costruito interni at the Politecnico di Milano. During 2018 she participated at the Erasmus exchange program at the Universität der Künste in Berlino
Leslie Sklair [3] is Emeritus Professor of Sociology at the London School of Economics. His books include “Globalization: Capitalism” and its “Alternatives and The Transnational Capitalist Class”. Published papers from his current research project, ‘Iconic architecture and capitalist globalization’ will form the basis of his forthcoming book, “The Architecture of Globalization”.
Andrew Soria [15]’s vibrant digital collages offset his own photography creating overwhelming cityscapes that speak to our never-ending search of perfection. While the skyscrapers and pawn shops found in his work may have a cartoonish quality, they attempt to reflect a very real longing on the part of the city’s unseen inhabitants. Soria’s skylines and underpasses overflow and use the cityscape as a stand-in for the individual in constructing a metaphor for our desire to fill the holes we see within ourselves.
Jeannette Sordi [9] is Professor of Landscape and Urbanism at Universidad Adolfo Ibanez (Santiago, Chile). She obtained a PhD from the University of Genoa, having been PhD Special Student at the Harvard Graduate School of Design. She recently published the books Beyond Urbanism (Listlab, 2014) and Andrea Branzi. From Radical Design to Post-Environmentalism (Arq Ed., 2015).
The SPATIALforces [2] can be regarded as a do-tank, producing and publishing output of social as well as architectural, but always of contemporary importance on an irregular basis. With the discussion of these topics they seek feedback, but primarily they want to address a wider public, enhance and encourage society’s spatial awareness.
Daniele Spirito [5] is an Architect, he graduated with honours in 2012 with an experimental thesis. In 2012 he won the International Prize for Sustainable Architecture and was awarded with the gold medal/first prize. He is architectural and landscape consultant for con[fine]VERDE, and now collaborates with gruppoforesta and Interplan.
Stefania Stellacci [8] [18] graduated in Architecture at the University of Ferrara in 2006, and Conservation of Built Heritage at University of Roma 3 in 2007. She has worked in Barbiniarquitectos, Ternullomelo, and Mangado architects. She completed her PhD at ISCTE-IUL in Lisbon (2018).
Elisa Stellacci [18] graduated in Architecture at the University of Ferrara in 2006. After several years working with Architecture and Graphics, she switched her focus realizing projects for public spaces and natural environments. She has been working in Landscape Architecture in Berlin since 2011.
Studio Lindfors [4] is a design firm based in New York City. The firm is versed in a wide range of project types and dedicated to the pursuit of speculative proposals that explore the realm of the fantastic. Current projects include a restaurant in Houston, a film studio in Brooklyn and illustrations for the House of Inconvenience.

Giorgio Talocci [6] is a Teaching Fellow and PhD candidate at The Bartlett DPU, UCL, where he runs the modules Tranforming Local Areas. In his PhD research, he is currently collaborating with the Asian Coalition for Housing Rights, Community Architects Network and Community Development Foundation Cambodia.
Elisa Tangheroni [14] is an architect currently based in Italy, specialized in social sustainability practices. She research in the field of the human geography to understand the local impact of global phenomena which have repercussion on the way people of the contemporary societies are living together in the cities, that she reports through different medium.
Adam Tarr [9], founder of award winning MZO TARR Architects (RIBA), has developed a reputation for designing buildings based upon the principles of Game Theory. Adam studied at the Architectural Association, London where he received the Eileen Gray Scholarship Award & Alexander Memorial Award. He continues to write and lecture internationally on the subject.
Isra Tatlić [16] works in architectural studio Ideogram and as a teaching assistant on Architectural Faculty of Sarajevo. Her research is focused on redefining values in architecture and the role of an architect in the new context of transitional capitalism in Bosnia and Hercegovina. She is engaging in special political and post-ideological position with both theory and practice and education.
Guido Tesio [3] is an architect, worked with Baukuh in Genoa and Milan and with OFFICE Kersten Geers David Van Severen in Brussels. Actually works with Standardarchitecture in Beijing. Europan 11 finalist in Getaria (Spain 2011); 2nd prize in the Bab Al Barhain competition (Barhain 2012).
Romina Totaro [16] born in San Giovanni Rotondo (Italy) in 1994. In 2016 earned her bachelor degree in Progettazione Architettonica from the Architettura Civile school at the Politecnico di Milano. She’s attending her master degree in Architettura at the Politecnico di Milano. During 2018 she participated at the Erasmus exchange program at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile in Santiago de Chile.
Diletta Trinari [17] graduated from Politecnico di Milano, in which she is still enrolled as teaching assistant. In 2018 they both moved to Barcelona, where they are currently working in the field of architecture and research.

Elena Uglovskaya [13] is a partner at Meganom architecture bureau. She currently leads the extension of the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts and the transformation of the former AMO ZiL car factory in Moscow.
Bernd Upmeyer [1] is the founder of the Rotterdam-based Bureau of Architecture, Research, and Design (BOARD) and editor in chief of MONU – Magazine on Urbanism. He studied architecture and urban design at the University of Kassel (Germany) and the Technical University of Delft (Netherlands).
Álvaro Urbano [2] is a Berlin based artist member of Eliasson’s Institut für Raumexperimente. His work has been shown in Tokyo, Reykjavik and Los Angeles, among others.
Luis Urculo [2] is an architect whose work is characterised by the unusual way to portray architecture, using it as a means, more than an end. Always interested in all that is peripheral to architecture, the processes, developments and approaches that can be manipulated, sampled and translated into other scales, adapting to the composition of the project, creating new scenes / experiences / expectations not contemplated previously.

Massud Vahdattalab [5] received a Ph.D. in Architecture from Shahid beheshti university in Iran in 2010 and his B.Arch and M.Arch from University of Tehran, Iran in 1995 and 1997.
Matilde Valagussa [13] graduated at Milan Polytechnic in April 2017 with a thesis entitled “Sao Paulo Cidade das Artes – inhabiting the limit through popular art”. After completing two additional paths at ASP – Alta Scuola Politecnica and ASA – Advanced School of Architecture, she started researching on public spaces in contemporary megalopolis. Her work has been recently published by Maggioli Editore. Her research mainly focuses on public space and on people’s dynamic in living the city in contemporary society.
Manuela Valtchanova [12] is an architect and teaching assistant with a master’s degree from Sofia University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy (UACEG). She is currently working at the Barcelona-based studio Arquitectura-G. She is also an associated teaching assistant in the Master of ephemeral architecture and temporary spaces at ELISAVA Barcelona School.
Slobodan Velevski and Marija Mano Velevska [18] are associate professors at the Faculty of Architecture in Skopje. In 2018, together they curate the Macedonian national pavilion at the 16th International Architecture Exhibition – la Biennale di Venezia with the project Freeingspace.
Arianna Veloce [4] is an architect currently living and working in Paris. The aim of her studies is investigate new experimental models that could answer to the dichotomy inherent in building metropolis: the new needs brought by globalization and the need of recovery the quality of life-style and urban space often lost.
Silvia Verace [10] graduates with honors in Building Engineering and Architecture at the Polytechnic School of Palermo, where she develops a strong passion for urban planning and urban design. In Oman she explores her passion and enhances her knowledges. With enthusiasm, she intends to build up her career.
Kai Vöckler [12] is Professor for Creativity in Urban Contexts at the University of Art and Design Offenbach, Germany and both founder and member of Archis Interventions. Kai Vöckler has participated in landscape, architectural and artistic competitions and design projects all over Europe.

Jakob Wagner [12] born in 1985 is a German photographer. He has his own business in Düsseldorf specialising in landscape, aerial, cityscape, industrial and fine art photography. When he is not at work on commissioned assignments, he devotes much of his time and passion to his personal photography projects, which have been featured already in many art magazines, books, blogs and exhibitions worldwide. His photographs are available in signed and limited editions.
WAI Architecture Think Tank [2] [3] [6][18] is a Workshop for Architecture Intelligentsia founded in Bruxelles in 2008 by French architect Nathalie Frankowski and Puerto Rican architect Cruz Garcia. Currently based in Beijing, WAI focuses on the understanding and execution of architecture through a panoramic approach, from theoretical texts, to narrative architectures, buildings, and urban and cultural conditions. Su Wang [8] trained as an architect and photographer in University College Dublin, Ireland. He has worked as a project manager of several architectural projects in New York as well as Shanghai.
Brian Ward [10] lectures in the Dublin School of Architecture. His research interests are early-twentieth century town planning and mid-twentieth century Irish architecture.
Aaron White [4] lives in New York City where he has worked with firms such as Mark Rakatansky Studio, Easton + Combs Architects, Graftworks, and Servo. He teaches seminars and studios at Pratt Institute and Parsons.
James Witherspoon [4] is a designer at Hamilton Anderson Associate. Graduated from the University of Michigan and the Connecticut College. Selected for the New Orleans’ AIA Descours2010 Exhibition. He received an Americorp Award to design and build sustainable homes in Detroit.
Eric Wong [13] studied at the Byam Shaw School of Art, Central Saint Martins. He completed his undergraduate degree at Cardiff University and later graduated from the Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL. He was nominated for the RIBA President’s Silver Medal and is a recipient of the Bartlett School of Architecture Medal.

Ma Yansong [2] is recognized as an important voice in a new generation of architects. Since the founding of MAD in 2004, his works have been widely published and exhibited. He studied at Beijing Institute of Civil Engineering and Architecture and holds a masters degree in Architecture from Yale University. In 2008 he was selected as one of the twenty most influential young architects today by ICON magazine. He works on projects ranging in scale from conceptual artworks to large mixed-use architecture. By the end of 2012, eight of his projects will be built.
Dongwoo Yim [17] is the co-founder of PRAUD and the assistant professor at Hongik University. He is the co-curator of the Cities Exhibition in 2019 Seoul Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism. His works have been exhibited worldwide including the award winning Korean Pavilion in Venice Biennale 2014.

2A+P/A [17] is an architectural office established by Gianfranco Bombaci and Matteo Costanzo and based in Rome. The office works on architectural, urban and landscape design. They are Visiting Lecturers in the Architecture Design Studio n. 10 at Royal College of Art in London. Recently they founded CAMPO, a space to debate, study and celebrate architecture in Rome.
